Cinemas around London

Electric Cinema

191 Portobello Rd, London W11 2ED, UK – 020 7908 9696

This place is unbelievable. When you walk up to it outside, you would think it’s a small cinema. But it is a large one with a huge screen. Mix of comfy sofa seats, normal seating and these super comfy beds at the front with blankets. Food and drinks available to purchase at the back and the food is great. Fantastic place for a date

The best way to watch a movie. It takes you back in time when cinemas were not just how many people can you squeeze in one auditorium but how comfortable it is. You get your own armchair to crawl in and a foot rest ottoman. If you open the ottoman there is a cashmere blanket in there to wrap around you and feel cosy. There is food too and drinks that you can enjoy from your little side table with a cute little lamp. It is not pricier than a usual cinema but you get so much more for your money. Food and drinks are not included in the ticket price. Enjoy:)

Odeon Cinema London Tottenham Court

30 Tottenham Court Rd, Bloomsbury, London W1T 1BX, UK – 0333 014 4501

It's an odd one. Quite hidden away, with only a few screens. It has some really nice and helpful staff. They have a bubble tea bar, ice-cream, beer and popcorn.

lovely cinema. The problem was the ladies toilets. NOT ENOUGH OF THEM. Furthermore the hooks on the doors are poorly designed. My bags and coats kept falling off because there isn't a hook on the end to prevent things sliding off. REALLY FRIENDLY STAFF.

Vue

19 Regent St, St. James's, London SW1Y 4LR, UK – 0345 308 4620

Although the price of a ticket is a bit steep, I do understand as it's in Central London. During and after the movie I did need to use the toilet but due to me having problems with my colon I asked for the disabled toilet key. Even though I may not look ill I was not judged or asked for anything apart from to return the key once finished. This made me feel more comfortable and was able to ask for it the second time without any stress πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Fantastic Vue Cinema in London. Seats are much cozier and comfier compared to similar movie halls around London. The size and the quality of screen 5 is very decent. Decent ticket prices. I would recommend Vue to anyone who wants a movie break. :)

Theatres for London

Gate Theatre

11 Pembridge Rd, Notting Hill, London W11 3HQ, UK – 020 7229 0706

A lovely little theatre with an incredible line up of eye opening productions. Presenting theatre that makes you think, engage and challenge your ideas / perceptions. Its a tiny space, but with brilliant staff and attention to every detail they've made a beautifully inclusive space that supports inspirational theatre.

Great cosy little theatre for a unique night out. Would highly recommend seeing a play here in support of the grass roots theatre scene.

Apollo Theatre

Shaftesbury Ave, Soho, London W1D 7EZ, UK – 0330 333 4809

Went to see the fabulous 'Something About Jamie' at the Apollo. Love the fact that this building and all it character has been kept and not knocked down to be built into a modern square building with no character. It's part of the real London. It provides a taste of the flavour and character of what London is really about and a part of our ancestry πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Located in the heart of London's theatreland the Apollo Theatre is well placed for wining and dining before and after any performance. The theatre itself is a very traditional space with good views from all areas of the auditorium. We were in the Dress Circle which only has 9 rows. Bar service was good, toilets a little antequated but at least they are there!

Finborough Theatre

118 Finborough Rd, Kensington, London SW10 9ED, UK – 0844 847 1652

Absolutely lovely laid back place. Last visited in 1993 and it was still just as nice in 2017. Outstanding acting when I was there. Intimate with only a few lines of seats. Can take drinks into the upstairs theatre. After the performance the actors came and had a drink with us. The pub is a fine building too.

Nice little bar but it is the theatre above that makes it special. Another terrific show tonight, thanks all!
