Cinemas around London

Electric Cinema

191 Portobello Rd, London W11 2ED, UK – 020 7908 9696

We had a work event at the Cinema which was a superb venue however I then decided to go back as a paying customer to the diner with a few colleague after the event. The service was simply outstanding and I am certain I shall be visting this venue again with my partner and friends. Congratulations to your team and in particular the Diner side for so many things but it's always so refreshing when you are looked after by people who take the hospitality trade as a vocation and career not just a job. Thoroughly recommend this venue for any occasion.

Literally 5* Experience! Super cosy! You can grab a bottle of wine from the bar, their are free blankets on the bed. Perfect distance from the screen! Highly highly recommend! Definitely coming back! Ideal for couples or a cute first date!

Cineworld Cinema London - Fulham Road

142 Fulham Rd, Kensington, London SW10 9QR, UK – 0330 333 4444

The cinema is ok but for London we thought the screens were small. Not sure if all the screens are as small as screen 1 but if they are then it let’s the cinema down. Snack selection is decent, cinema was clean and staff friendly.

Oh how I wish to give this place a 5 star since it’s my local and most frequented cinema but somehow the place still manages to look a bit dated even after extensive renovations, not to mention the popcorn prices for which there is always an unbearable queue.

Odeon Cinema London Tottenham Court

30 Tottenham Court Rd, Bloomsbury, London W1T 1BX, UK – 0333 014 4501

Great staff always very smiley snd friendly. Saw Jurassic World here tonight in screen 3 very comfy seats. Recommend this cinema.

Very small, hard to find, couldn't believe it was actually there. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would not pay to upgrade the seats, next to no legroom, but a higher seat, ok for me, but Husband unable to sit properly, if under 5'8 you will be fine.

Theatres for London

Finborough Theatre

118 Finborough Rd, Kensington, London SW10 9ED, UK – 0844 847 1652

Nice vintage kinda place. Like a heaven in this hot weather. Cool staff, reasonable price and out door seating. Didn’t try their theatre downstairs but heard it nice to try.

High standard of acting in well regarded fringe theatre. Poor access and officious unfriendly staff don't improve the experience. The pub below for refreshments is going through another disaster.....

Gate Theatre

11 Pembridge Rd, Notting Hill, London W11 3HQ, UK – 020 7229 0706

A lovely little theatre with an incredible line up of eye opening productions. Presenting theatre that makes you think, engage and challenge your ideas / perceptions. Its a tiny space, but with brilliant staff and attention to every detail they've made a beautifully inclusive space that supports inspirational theatre.

Great cosy little theatre for a unique night out. Would highly recommend seeing a play here in support of the grass roots theatre scene.

Apollo Theatre

Shaftesbury Ave, Soho, London W1D 7EZ, UK – 0330 333 4809

Beautiful theatre. Came here to see Wicked which was a wonderful show. The signposting of where to go once inside is good and staff were helpful. Prices of food and drink expensive but usual for west end shows. Overall would recommend this theatre.

My boyfriend is on crutches at the moment, and after we realised we were seated in the middle of the row, I asked one of the members of staff if there was anything we could do about moving seats. Everyone was so helpful, and they moved us down to the disabled seating area, which meant he could stretch his leg out. There was staff ready to help us in the interval and at the end. Very happy with the theatre.
